The Vision for Baynes Creek is a place where families of different income levels who work in and make our community possible have affordable homes for their families and interact with their neighbors in a diverse, close-knit neighborhood.

As a service for the public good, and with the help of our generous Community, Baynes Creek Development exists to build an affordable and diverse workforce housing community for Greene County’s essential workers.
This mission is being carried out through a multi-year development plan that began in 2024 with the completion of rezoning and annexation. In 2025, the land transfer was finalized, allowing site development to begin. Housing construction is scheduled to start in 2026, with the ultimate goal of delivering 70 new affordable homes to serve the hardworking individuals who keep our community running.
