The Baynes Creek Development is changing the housing landscape in our community by offering affordable homes to our most vital local workforce. Homes in Baynes Creek will be 100% owner-occupied with affordable mortgage options. Families will have room to grow in a flourishing neighborhood featuring a large park, community gardens, and walking trails.

A Community for Those Who Serve

As a service for the public good, and with the help of our generous Community, Baynes Creek Development exists to build an affordable and diverse workforce housing community for Greene County’s essential workers.

This mission is being carried out through a multi-year development plan that began in 2024 with the completion of rezoning and annexation. In 2025, the land transfer was finalized, allowing site development to begin. Housing construction is scheduled to start in 2026, with the ultimate goal of delivering 70 new affordable homes to serve the hardworking individuals who keep our community running.
